ZFE at Roissy: Complete guide to low-emission zones

The introduction of Low Emission Zones (ZFE) at Roissy represents a major change for motorists travelling to the airport. To make it easier for you to park in compliance with these new regulations, Class'Park has a secure car park just outside the airport, accessible to all vehicles authorised in the EPZ.

The Crit'Air sticker system and the EPZ

Low Emission Zones aim to improve air quality by restricting access to the most polluting vehicles. To park at Class'Park and access the Roissy zone, your vehicle must be fitted with a Crit'Air sticker that complies with the restrictions in force.

How Crit'Air stickers work

Crit'Air stickers classify vehicles according to their level of polluting emissions, from Crit'Air E (electric vehicles) to Crit'Air 5 (the most polluting vehicles):

  • Crit'Air E: Electric and hydrogen 100% vehicles
  • Crit'Air 1: Recent petrol vehicles (Euro 5 and 6)
  • Crit'Air 2: Euro 4 petrol and recent diesel vehicles
  • Crit'Air 3: Older vehicles
  • Crit'Air 4 and 5: Most polluting vehicles

Available from the certificat-air.gouv.fr website for €3.77, they are compulsory for driving in the EPZ. They take around 10 working days to obtain, so make sure you apply before you come to Class'Park.

The perimeter of the Roissy EPZ

The ZFE covers the entire Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport zone, including access roads to car parks such as Class'Park. It also extends to the municipality of Roissy-en-France and the surrounding business parks, forming a coherent perimeter for improving air quality.

Application timetable

Since 2023, unclassified and Crit'Air 5 vehicles have been banned. In 2024, the ban will be extended to Crit'Air 4 vehicles, and in 2025 to Crit'Air 3 vehicles. Class'Park help you through this transition by offering parking solutions at Roissy suitable for all authorised vehicles.

Exemptions and practical information

To facilitate the transition to these new standards, a number of exemptions have been introduced. Class'Park remains accessible to all vehicles benefiting from these exemptions.

Permanent derogations

Certain vehicles benefit from permanent exemptions: emergency vehicles, vehicles for disabled people with an inclusion mobility card, and certain public service vehicles. These vehicles have free access to the Class'Park car park with no restrictions linked to the EPZ.

Temporary derogations

Temporary passes are available for removals, urgent breakdown vehicles and certain exceptional events. If you have a temporary exemption, you can use Class'Park services for as long as your authorisation is valid.

Practical advice

  • Check the eligibility of your vehicle before you travel
  • Reserve your place in advance
  • Plan to arrive with your Crit'Air sticker affixed
  • Keep proof of exemption if applicable
